The annual march, carried out for 17 years, brings together hundreds of followers of evangelical churches across Brazil and dozens of musical groups, preachers and celebrities. In the Brazilian census of 2000, 74% of the population identified themselves as Catholic, down ten points compared to 84% in 1990. In these last ten years the people of evangelical faith has risen by 6% from 9% in 1990 to 15% of the census this year.

As is the case of Andrea Pazin, a managing director of staff 33 years, traveled 240 kilometers by car from inside the state of Sao Paulo to participate in the march, accompanied by her two children and husband.
