Luke 19. 1 to 10

Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through the city. It happened that a man named Zacchaeus, who was chief of the publicans, and rich, sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, it was small in stature. And ran before, and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, he was to pass by. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and saw him, and said, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must abide at thy house. Then he went down quick, and received him joyfully. Seeing this, they all murmured, saying he had come to pose a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood and said the Lord: Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone, I back four times. Jesus said: Today is salvation come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost

I was surprised to learn many things about the life of Zacchaeus, some rebel inferring only reading or through divine revelation.

Part of the whole lesson is the fact that only occurs in one book of the Gospels, the story so particular that has been the basis of many stories for children, but not perhaps be also a lesson for adults?

We finally learn the lessons that we apply in our lives may well be that of Zacchaeus.
