But this joke serves as a good illustration of the item we will be exploring today. The reality of all is that many times we ask the Father, with considerable emphasis. We insist and insist, without stopping to take into account and consider the implications of our insistence, more importantly, we forget to emphasize what we must always insist that this is the will of God for us.'s Why Today in the desire to examine some historical details that we reveal what we can influence to insist on things that are not in the will of God, and the consequences that these things can occur in our lives. We now turn to the Word of God. Numbers 11:4-9 - And the foreigners who mingled among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also returned to mourn and said! Who shall give us flesh to eat? 5 We remember the fish we ate in Egypt for nothing, the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic; 6 But now our soul is dried away, beside this manna, before our eyes. 7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and its color as the color of bdellium. 8 The people went about and gathered it, and ground it in mills or beat it in mortars, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it and the taste was as the taste of fresh oil. 9 As they descended the dew on the camp at night, the manna fell upon it. To have a better understanding of the message that God has for us today, we will need a brief review of history. At this point in history God had liberated the people of Israel from slavery. This is something easily found in Exodus 12:30-31 we read: "And Pharaoh rose up that night, he and all his servants, and all the Egyptians, and there was a great cry in Egypt, because there was a house where there was no dead. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said: Come out from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel, and go, serve the Lord, as you said. "But the freedom they had gained It was not something easily achieved. Moses came to Pharaoh and he will let go. The pharaoh had to learn some very hard lessons before releasing to the people he remained a slave. When we review the events that lead us to the point where the story we're exploring today, we found that it reached people see signs extremely powerful, and most powerful of all was to see God's presence and guiding them protected. This is something easily found in Exodus 13:21-22 we read: "And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so to go by day and night. 22 Never before the people away from the pillar of cloud by day or night the pillar of fire. "Why is it necessary to be aware of these details? The reason why we should aware of these brief historical details is because they are two very important things. Number one, let us know that this town had full knowledge of power, majesty and sovereignty of God. Number two, let us know that even having a absolute knowledge of God, but keep our eyes fixed on Him, the enemy can infiltrate our lives again to destroy what God has given us. So keep these brief historical details in mind now continue our study today. In the first verse we are studying in this day read: "... And the foreigners who mingled among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also returned to mourn and said! Who gave us eat meat! "The first thing we ask now is: what tells us this verse? The first thing that this verse reveals that the influence that the world exercises, illustrated here as "foreign people", it can sometimes affect the truest of believers, pictured here as "the children of Israel." And this influence at all times cause we stray from the perfect and divine will of God. That is why we must always be careful who we met and shared, lest we inadvertently stray from the will of God. The second thing this verse tells us is that the bad influence leads to dissatisfaction. This is something that is quite obvious here when I call God's people saying: "! Who shall give us flesh to eat?" Tell the person who is your side: the people of God was not satisfied. Now we must ask: what causes the dissatisfaction? What causes dissatisfaction is when we focus our attention on what we lack, rather than what we have. In this case, the people of Israel did not seem to realize what God had done and was doing for them. God had released, had made them a nation, and now led them to the promised land. But they were more involved in what they were experiencing at that moment that what God had done and was doing for them. In other words, did not realize all the blessings that God had provided. With their actions and words, what they were doing is belittling or not appreciating the blessings of God, and that is why their attention is focused on the food they had left behind. The reality is that I do not know how, but somehow so they forgot the painful lash of Pharaoh, the forced labor, and all the bad treatment they had received as slaves. Not only did they forget all the problems and needs that happened when they were slaves, but now they dare to sue God. We have much to learn from these events. I say this because sometimes the people of God today, he does the same as God's people at that time. In other words, allow ourselves to be influenced by those around us, which in most cases leads us to concentrate on what we have left behind when we decided to follow God. For example, who liked to drink think how rich you know that drink favorite, who liked to gamble, think how much fun it was the game, who loved the drugs, think about how good it felt when used, to which was in witchcraft, thinks about how lucrative it was the practice, could continue to cite examples, but I think everyone already have a very good idea of where I go with everything this. In other words, we do not realize that God libero. NO we realize that we are not slaves of the devil, but children of God. Something else that often happens is that sometimes we are so wrapped up in our daily lives, that we realize what God is doing with our lives . Look into what God was doing for them to understand well what I mean. Then we read: "... And the manna was like coriander seed, and its color as the color of bdellium. 8 The people went about and gathered it, and ground it in mills or beat it in mortars, and baked it in pans, and made cakes of it and the taste was as the taste of fresh oil. 9 And when the dew fell on the camp at night, the manna fell about it. "Tell the person you have at your side, God sent them food from heaven. They were in a desert, they had farms to plant and grow food, they had a corner market where they could buy food; did not have any human action, so God provides them with the divine action. But obviously this was not enough for them. Unfortunately some of us sometimes act the same way that God's people acted back then. In other words, we underestimate or do not value what He has given us, and we bow in prayer asking more and more, insisting and insisting, and we forget to thank Him for all He has done. Tell the person you have at your side: thank God for his mercy. The people of Israel protested because they were bored of mana. Tell the person you have at your side: the blessings were bored. How many here are bored with the blessings of God? Course that none of us would say that, but the reality of it is that when we doubt what God is doing in our lives, in essence we become like the old people, and we believe that we have is not enough, and that we deserve more. But when we develop this attitude must be very careful. I say this because this attitude is the attitude of a person who lives hidden in Christ. When we develop this attitude we fall into a very serious sin, the sin of coveting. When we take this attitude of thanking God for all he has done and ask him to make our needs and began to demand that he give us more. In other words, we suffer because we believe what God has given us is not enough for us. And when we go before our Father with this attitude, things do not get anything good. When we ask the Father in a sinful attitude, the answer may be quite severe. Look well what happened then to understand well what I say. In Numbers 11:18-20 we read: "... But the people say, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the Lord saying! Who shall give us flesh to eat! was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD, will give you flesh, and eat. 19 Do not eat a day or two days or five days, or ten days, nor twenty days, 20 but a whole month, until they come out at your nostrils, and loathsome as it despised the LORD which is among you, and wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt? " God's people protested because they thought they deserved much more than what he was giving, and even went so far as to say that best had been as slaves. Unfortunately, there are a number of believers who sometimes feels the same way. The reason for this is because as I've said many times, to follow God is not easy. Tell the person you have at your side is no easy thing. I say it is not easy because, as faithful believers, we must surrender to the will of God and maintain our holiness. And this is something the world can not and never managed to understand. That's why as I said at the beginning, we must be very careful with whom we met and who listen. We must exercise great care lest we end up neglecting or not appreciating what God has done and is doing, and arouse their anger against us. Look well what happened then to understand well what I say. In Numbers 11:32-34 we find that we are told: "... Then the people stood up all day and all night and all day next, and gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers and tended to another along around the camp. 33 meat was still between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled the people, and the LORD smote the people with a severe plague. 34 And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah there they buried the people that lusted. "With this here we can clearly see that when we look down or despise what God does for us, what we will find His blessing but not his wrath. They were not satisfied with the blessings that He was sending them and bowed before Him in prayer sinner, praying coveting. They were not asking the Father to send them what they needed, they were requiring him to send them what they deserved. And God did just that. God really control what they deserved, I send a plague for being so greedy. In conclusion. I leave you with this final thought: when we approach God in prayer, let's do very careful what we ask. We must be very careful not to bow before His presence insisting and insisting on things we think we deserve, and forget to ask that is His will in our lives. Always remember that God knows exactly what each of us needs and deserves. That's why we must always give thank you very much for the blessings God has bestowed on us. But more importantly, to thank our Father for not answering those prayers and insistence that we have coveted. So tell the person you have at your side: you will not receive careful what you ask. |
