Oleo nino mirando al mar 61x46 A few days ago something happened to my job which produced a range of emotions in some people who know me. What happened was that I was transferred from place, now I'm working in a place much more responsibility. I am working in a place that requires me more about the control and management as it covers an area the size of a small town. Like I said, this move caused a variety of questions and comments from those who know me, but the interesting part is that some saw the move published called me to congratulate me, and called me because they wanted to know whom I had insulted. In other words, some saw it as a blessing, others a curse. This actually happened to me is not something very unusual. I say this because the great reality is that all we formulate opinions based on our point of view. In other words, some of us look at some things but others are slipping. It's much like when he meets a group of people, and a message is given to a person for that person is responsible to tell somebody else, then that person tells another and so a large group. What happens in most cases is that when the message finally reaches the last person, the message has been distorted so that is no longer anything to the original librase. It is equal to the trade who are going through the TV announcing new chocolate cookies. A large group of children sitting in a large dining room and one child opens the package of this new cookie. One of those sitting beside him, watching him turns around and whispers to the other ear, Juanito has a CAKESTER OREO, and that he turns around and whispers in his ear to the one at his side, and so on until the end mind reaches one end of a long dining room table, and he surprised cries aloud Has Johnny let out a hair on your chest? What funny, right? But this is something that happens because we hear and interpret things our way. And this is the theme that we explored in today. Today we study a small moment in Jewish history that will make us reflect on how we see things, and how we interpret situations. We now turn to the Word of God.

Numbers 13:25-33 - And they returned from searching of the land end of forty days. 26Y they went and came to Moses and Aaron, and all the congregation of the Israelites in the wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh, and gave the information to them and the whole congregation, and showed them the fruit of the earth. 27y told them, saying, We came to the land where you sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is the fruit of it. 28Mas the people who dwell in the land are strong, and very large cities and fortified, and there we also saw the children of Anak. 29Amalec inhabits the Negev and the Hittites, the Jebusites and the Amorites dwell in the mountains, and the Canaanite dwells by the sea and the coast of Jordan. 30Entonces Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, Let us go up and take possession of it, for we ourselves more than them. 31Mas men who went up with him said, We can not go up against the people because they are stronger than us. 32Y spoke evil among the children of Israel, the land which they had, saying, The land we passed through to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof, and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. Saw there 33También giant sons of Anak, a race of giants, and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were to them.

As they say, to have a better understanding of the message that God has for us today, we will require a brief review of history. In these verses we the people of Israel, who had been freed from the hands of Pharaoh after about 430 years of slavery. This is something that is well reflected in Exodus 1:13-14 we read "And the Egyptians made to serve the children of Israel harshly, 14y their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter and brick, and in all manner of field and throughout his service, which forced them rigorously. "Now, as we all know God use Moses to free them, and they all witnessed great signs of the living God. They witnessed all the plagues upon Egypt, and crossed the Red Sea without getting wet or use a ship. They heard the Word of God through Moses and knew he was guiding them to the promised land.

They knew that God had released and had promised a land flowing with milk and honey. That is plainly stated in the call of Moses as found in Exodus 3:16-17 we read, "Go and meet the elders of Israel, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, came to me saying: Verily I've visited, and I've seen what you do in Egypt, 17, and I said, I will bring you out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzite, the Hivites and the Jebusites, a land flowing with milk and honey. "Why should we know these things? We know this because we need to realize that they knew exactly where they were going, we need to know that they were well aware of God's promise. So keep that in mind, let's continue now with our study today.

Moses led this people through the desert to the border of the land God had promised, and in verses before us today we see that he sent these men to go and recognize the territory. This was not something he decided on his own, but God had told him so. This is something that is clearly stated in Numbers 13:1-2 where we read, "The Lord said to Moses, saying men 2Envía you recognize the land of Canaan, which I give to the children of Israel: of every tribe of their parents send a man, each one a leader among them. "Why did God command this? I firmly believe that God ordered this because God wanted to test the loyalty of this people. But unfortunately, this is where the trouble begins. I say that this is where the problem begins because as I said at the beginning, we all see things in different ways.

Now these men who Moses sent to spy out the territory actually gave very good report. They confirmed that the land was really good, it was fertile, is how we find here when we read "And I was told, saying, We came to the land where you sent us, and surely it flows with milk and honey, and this is the fruit of it. "So far so good, but unfortunately they failed the test. Failed the test because they stopped trusting God, they ceased to trust the promise and set his sights on the circumstances around him. Take heed and continuing in the report, they said, "But the people who dwell in the land are strong, and very large cities and fortified, and there we also saw the children of Anak. 29Amalec inhabits the Negev and the Hittites, the Jebusites and the Amorites dwell in the mountains, and the Canaanite dwells by the sea and the coast of Jordan. "God had freed them from slavery to make them a great nation to serve for example in the world. God wanted to bless this people, but by their lack of faith and infidelity stopped the blessing that God wanted deliver. Tell the person you have at your side, stop infidelity blessings. The big mistake that this town was that they failed to focus on God's promise to focus on their own strengths and weaknesses. Take heed to this when we read, "But the men who came with him said, We can not go up against the people because they are stronger than us." The consequence was that the people that God freed from slavery in Egypt never came to enter the promised land. The people that God freed them from slavery could never enjoy God's promise. This is something that is well stated in Numbers 32:13 we read "And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and made them wander in the desert forty years until it was finished all the generation that had done evil before the Lord .

Now let's do a little break and think about these events for a brief moment. Consider what happened to them and compare it with what happens to us today. When we think a little in case I think we all arrive at roughly the same conclusion, I think we all conclude that what happened to this town is not very different from what happens to us today. I say this because many times we behave like this town. God wanted this town would serve as a blessing to the world, God wanted them to be the example to follow, but they did not trust in God. They just fell on the ground that contained a large number of inhabitants, cities with fortified walls and giants that inhabit it. Examinémonos now and ask, is there this in our lives today? I can confidently say yes, and there are many people who do as did the people of God in this moment.

There are many people that instead of concentrating on the promises of God, that instead of concentrating on his power, focus on the situations and take away their sight of God, once we do this then our faith falters and we began to succumb to the temptation and rebellion. It's like when we hear people say that God does not speak. This is something I've heard in more than one occasion for many people. But the reality of it is that if God speaks to us, perhaps not loud trumpet call, not with a bang, but God speaks through His Word. God speaks through brothers and sisters, God speaks to us all the time, but many of us came to hear him. The main reason is because people like it, we cease to trust him more confident in our abilities that God's strength. This was the case of this people, to spy out the land they did not see the blessing, only saw the negative. Recognizing this land they did not trust that the God who had liberated them from the hands of Pharaoh that the God who had promised them this land is the hand over. They only saw their weaknesses, which led them to forget what God had promised. In other words, they stopped hearing the voice of God, and this is something that happens in the lives of many today. However, when we listen attentively to the voice of God in our lives, we have a great promise of God. Take heed what our Father tells us in Deuteronomy 28:1-6 we read, "to pass, if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I give you today, that the LORD thy God you high above all nations of the earth. 2Y come all these blessings upon you and overtake you, if you obey the Lord your God. 3Bendito shall you be in the city, and blessed in the field. 4Bendito the fruit of thy womb, the fruit of thy land, the fruit of thy cattle, the calves of your herds and the flocks of thy sheep. 5Benditas shall be your basket and your kneading trough. 6Bendito you will when you come in and blessed when you go out. "But despite this many are still in total disobedience, ignoring the voice of God altogether. But we know very well that disobedience will lead to only see the negative.

This village did not receive God's blessings right away because they saw only the opposition, they saw only the giants that dwelt in the land and were terrified. Take heed in what they said when we read, "We also saw giants there, the sons of Anak, a race of giants, and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were to them." Surely some are already thinking about that in our life there are no giants, but the reality is that if there are giant numbers as church, as God's chosen people, we have to face. But what is a giant? In this case they were big, strong men to defend the land, and to try to arrest the people of God. In other words were an obstacle that would stop the blessing of God to them, was an obstacle to try to separate them from God's will.

This was the case then, and remains the case with us. I say this because a giant is anything that comes out of the way that he taught us. A giant is anything that stands between us and God's plan for us. A giant is anything that appears to be much larger and stronger than us, bigger than our desire to serve God. A giant is anything that is much stronger than our abilities and we can not tackle alone. With only analyze our life will soon find many giants dwell where they should not dwell. The question we must ask ourselves is what giant facing us today? There are two main giants stopped trying to separate the church of God's blessings.

The first giant that the church faces today is the giant of the doubt and disbelief. I doubt that it caused disbelief let people hear the voice of God, and subsequently halted the plan of God for them. The same happens in the lives of many today. Many of us do like the people of that time, to see us faced with problems or difficult situations, to see us face to face with the giants who come to steal the peace that God has given us, simply doubt His power. But brothers reality of it is that these giants do not exist to steal our peace, God allows these giants exist to glorify himself through them. This is something that is very well reflected when we read in James 1:2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into various trials, 3sabiendo that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Mas patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and complete, not lacking anything. "Remember always that doubt or disbelieve not allow us to see the greatness of our God and increase our own weaknesses. Tell the person you have at your side, please.

The second giant we face as a church is fear. In the case of this people, fear of the fortified cities, fear of people, fear of the giants was much higher than the promise of God. This town was seen as "locusts", were much inferior to them, were insignificant. We often do the same, instead of looking at problems or situations as insignificant in God's eyes we see the problems and situations that cause us fear giants. This is something that happens because we measured the obstacles to our own strength and skill rather than focusing on the power of our God. These men came to see the promised land, the land flowing with milk and honey as "a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof." Instead of seeing the earth as it was, the promise and blessing of God, was seen as a curse that would destroy them. This is a big difference right? But because this same fear, fear causes us to see things completely opposite to what they are. The cause fear not see the blessings. But remember that fear is not of God. This is something that is very clear in 2 Timothy 1:7 we read "For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of self." The fear is a giant that seeks to stop the blessings we receive of God.

To conclude. Now I ask, how we see things? When we look at and examine our life, we see the giants and we see the power of God? When we look to our future, are we on the way to the promised land or we are lost in the desert? We can not afford to be guided in the opposite direction from God. We are the people of God and were freed from slavery; watch closely what the Word says in 1 Peter 2:9 we read, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. "Brothers, we can not allow the devil to divert us from our walk. In this world we will face giants, we must confront difficult situations, but we must always remember that God so permitted to refine and test how strong is our faith. I'm telling you in today to see who faced with hardships or problems, do not tell God how big are your problems, but tell your problems how great is our God.
