The purification of the temple of God |

 In the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem, the vendors of sacrificial animals and money changers had done their business in that place to buy and sell pigeons, cattle, sheep, goats and all animals used for sacrifices and offerings to God, also had some exchange houses and money where they changed the currency to serve visitors to buy other businesses.
Readings: Matthew 21 12-17, Mark 11 15-18, John 2 13-22 Dishonestly charged large amounts, we think that in this time of year, when Easter was a few days, were even more commissions they charged, since Passover was near, a few days was the Passover and all devout Jews must make their offerings and sacrifices, because they came from all over the world to celebrate Passover in the temple could not bear the slaughter animals, so they had to pay high prices to sell them there. The Passover was instituted by the Lord when in the last day of captivity in Egypt commanded them realize it, eating the flesh of the slain victim, roast with fire, with bread and bitter herbs, eating quickly, and putting the victim's blood on the doorposts of the driveway, and is one of the most solemn traditions of Israel. However, the temple is not market, it is a place to be buying and selling goods but a house of prayer and praise to God, for this the Lord was angry and threw out all the vendors, their wares and their money purifying the temple. Because God says in Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, contrite heart you will not despise, O God. God prefers by far a heart for service, to love him deeply that all sheep and oxen together, but the presence of merchants in the temple did everything except create an offering pleasing to God, therefore the Lord cleansed the place clean of all filth and teaching the people that wanted to hear. In that place there were interests of priests and teachers of the law, surely some of the vendors were hired by them or gave them any commission or bribe to allow them to be selling into a sacred place, even though they themselves knew that what they did was wrong, and became so angry that, by seeking their interests and not God, they wanted the money more than the praise of God, had in his mind materialism with Caesar's image instead of a song worship the Lord, and that Jesus was casting out all the vendors directly affect their economic interests. Many times we have seen in history, both remote and recent, that money makes people fight, they hit and kill, they are great friends despise and hate brothers, we have seen there are people capable of betraying his most great friends and family by a little money, even now in our society this happens frequently, we can see how families are shattered once joined when the death of a family fight over the inheritance, as longtime friends end up in ruin for money or as a faithful person is corrupted by a few bills. Little wonder that priests have done the same, and betray God for some currencies, it is not surprising that the group miser sold his master for some money and of course no wonder that the doctors of the preferred law to destroy that which speaks of honesty and love for God instead of money. But it was time for purification, and Lord entered the temple and purified, I pull the money changers who profited from unfair and usurious gains, drove off the cattle of the vendors offerings, which had its gain in the need for who wished to offer sacrifice to the LORD, and dishonestly abused, those who had left bitterness and greed in his heart, thinking only for their own benefit, regardless of who the people were taught to be completely wrong for their teachings vain. That earned him the hatred of some of those people, who were planning how to destroy it, by attacking their interests dishonest. But now we see in 1 Corinthians 6:19 Know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? And 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? The priests and scribes were idols inside the temple, the idol of money, greed, dishonesty, of egotism, and God hates idols, not for nothing the first two commandments speak of both an abomination of idols, and ratify it in 2 Corinthians 6:16 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God, as God said: Dwell and walk among them, And I will be their God, And they shall be my people. Now we know we are the temple of God, our heart is the altar, where he made sacrifices. But what kind of sacrifice is made there? Do we have a whole market within? Consider this, if you are concerned that his heart is money, then there are moneychangers moneylenders in his heart, that you can not think clearly, because they think only of gold and silver, like changing anything for more money, in greed and how to steal from others, including God. Or if you offer songs of praise and worship but does not feel, then you have a market for slaughter animals inside, pigeons, cattle, sheep and goats that are not dedicated with love to God, but the image itself, for all to see she can sing, or how spiritual I am, but the last thing on my mind is that the Lord accept this sacrifice and enjoyment. So I'm stealing his sacrifice to God, and turning the temple into a den of thieves. But, as in the temple of Jerusalem, Jesus Christ can now enter into your heart and purify it, driving out all the thieves who pollute the ego which is in the holy place and is expressed with vanity and pride, making believe most of what we are, to selfishness that is in the holy place, creating a desire to serve and be served by everyone, instead of serving God and others, to materialism and simulation, which are in the courts, materialism that makes us think about the physical needs first and simulation gives us a way to live misleading wanting to do all believe that we are something we are not, and get everything in order, letting the Holy Spirit is the one that is in the holy place and adore you with your life and conduct, by his obedience and meekness, with his sacrifice of praise and worship real, exalting humility at all times. I invite brother, who thinks a moment, and peered into the temple where he is, this unique temple, and check if it is a pure place or needs to be purified. If required, go now, and ask the purifier, our Lord, pour out any hindrance and all thief, all thought to steal your space and God after clean, enter and dwell there, and if you believe his heart is now a temple of God, then pray for the brothers that need cleaning.
