When we hear the word blessing, unequivocally, of 10 persons, 6 think about money. Unfortunately blessings always relate to economic goods, but would there be any sacrifice that brings blessing, Abstinence and confusion? I think we would stop calling her blessing to call her trial. This is a bit difficult to accept unless you're living. Let the other side of the coin: What about the trials where we see God's blessings? This is easier to understand.
1st. Kings 17:1-9 To better understand this passage we see that lends itself perfectly: 1 And Elijah Tishbite, which was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there will be no dew nor rain these years, except by my word. "2 And it came to word LORD, saying, 3 Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, which is opposite to the Jordan. 4 shall drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. 5 He went and did according to the word of the Lord, then he went and lived by the brook Cherith, which is opposite to the Jordan. 6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening, and drank the creek. 7 After a few days, the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land. 8 Then came word of the Lord to him, saying, 9 "Arise, go to Sarepta of Sidon, and dwell there: behold I have given order there to a widow sustain thee. Elijah tells Ahab that there will be no rain or dew, to what he says. Here is a trial, so to speak for the entire nation. But the righteous?, "The faithful? How to serve God to bless his people? Here Ravens Cherith.
1) "Go from here"
"Get out of here, go east and hide by the brook Cherith, who heads the Jordan." v. 3.
We note that the first thing God did with Elijah was removed, away from the king. Ensures the life of this man. It begins this way: "hide", do not leave, stay there, I have a place for you. This is the first thing the Lord in our lives if we set aside for us lies in the hollow of his hand, teaching us to trust Him then God did exercise the faith of Elijah, "will drink from the stream and ravens will feed you . Perhaps Elijah thought: no rain for a long time, "And give me a drink from a stream? Most likely it dry first anything. What do crows feed me? Are these unclean animals? He may have thought so, but the book of Kings tells us something else tells us to obey. With faith. "It is therefore, faith the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" Heb.11: 1. This text had not been written yet but Elijah already knew very well.
2) "And he went and did"
"Elijah went and did according to the word of the Lord. He went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, who heads the Jordan." v. 5
Elias flicked his faith. Yes, faith is action too. He thought and went straight into the gutter. How did you feel when he saw Elijah Jordan and Cherith together? Did not Jordan had more water than the stream? So why did it take a place less likely to survive the drought? Many questions, right? But Elijah obeyed. No questions, no regrets. The Bible says that Elijah was a man with passions like ours, neither more nor less than ourselves. Obey God, but the sea roar. God will lead us to our Cherith, and it is best to do so without question. "And the ravens brought him bread and meat ..." Have you ever received a blessing from someone who is an unbeliever? Does the beam rejected by that? I think not. So did Elijah. "He ate meat and drank from the stream." "Keep me bread necessary, lest that satisfies me, and deny thee, and say: Who is Lord? Or be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God Prov.30 :8-9.
Elijah longed simply not go to Jordan, he fell into the creek. In our congragación we have a leader who suddenly dropped a series of tests on his life. I had an import business that collapsed. His wife was pregnant, gave birth and her baby died. He suffered illness and a whole list of ailments. At the funeral of her baby was given a tip: do not ask God WHY?, Better say: Lord, what do I want to teach this? It was difficult for him to accept this advice. But he remained loyal for the moment. Then another brother invited him to play in a band as a guitarist. I refused to let go. He got mad at me for that. It was difficult to battle with him. Until she told me she was hindrance to growth. It was decided to remove him from office for easier restoration. After many things, accepted his mistakes and his emotion. His wife was again pregnant. She had twins. Already have a stable job with economic blessing. And more importantly, the Lord gave him an office at district level in our organization. Today he laughs and says, "Remember when neceaba pastor asked why the neighbor that believeth not spend so much like me, and also has property and is apparently happy? Now he responds with the same quotation from Proverbs above.
3) "GOING ALGUNIOS days, DRY CREEK"
"But it happened that after some days the brook dried up because it had not rained on earth. "v. 7 7 After a few days, the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land. 8 Then came word of the Lord to him, saying, 9 "Arise, go to Sarepta of Sidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded there a widow who support you. The Lord always work one way or another. We hope in the Lord but our dry creek. God now has another ready when this happens.
CONCLUSION
For God to meet a need there are several factors that influence with importance:
1 .- There must be a necessity. 2 .- To believe that God will supply (faith) 3 .- Wait. Just wait.
There is something very important when God supplies: it does as it wants, not as we want him to supplant. If you hope in God, let the do their job, just wait.
FAITH IS ALSO THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND THE DOUBT. "
